We dyed eggs last night, which I haven't done since I was a kid. I heard about people wrapping their eggs in rubberbands before dyeing them, so we tried it. Most of them turned out good. The trick is the get the rubberband tight enough to stay, but not so that you crack the egg. Plus, the closer you get to the edge of the egg, the more likely for the rubberband to go flying off in your face (yikes!), or to slowly slide off while it's resting in the dye (wah wah wah).
We also used the waxy crayon that comes with the Paas set, but that was kind of a bust. You can sort of see our initials on these two eggs.
We got in some good practice, and next year should be even better.
